1. Introduction

HORSES.SALE, operated by Horsense shop s.r.o., is committed to protecting user privacy. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our website and our HorsesSale mobile application.

2. Data Collection

We collect user-provided data, including your name, email address, phone number, business details (for sellers and transporters), and payment details. We also collect the content you create to use our services: horse listings, transport and sale requests, photos and videos of horses, and messages exchanged through in-app chat (between buyers and sellers, and with transporters).

We use Google Analytics for website performance monitoring. The mobile application collects a device push notification token, via Google Firebase, so we can deliver notifications to your device.

3. Photos, Videos and Device Media

With your permission, the HorsesSale mobile application can access your photo library and camera to let you add pictures and videos of your horse to a listing, and can save video frames you capture back to your photo library. Videos you upload may be processed and hosted by our video infrastructure provider (Mux) or embedded from YouTube for playback within the app.

4. Push Notifications

With your permission, we send push notifications about new matches, messages, and requests relevant to your account. Your device push token is stored securely and linked to your account. You can disable push notifications at any time in the app settings or your device settings.

5. Use of Personal Data

Collected data is used for account management, service provision (including listings, matching, messaging between buyers, sellers and transporters, and the Sharing hub feature for sharing horse pages, videos, x-rays and documents), and communication. Payment details are processed securely through Stripe and PayPal; we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

6. Confidentiality of User Documents

Users who use our contract customization and eSign services, or who share x-rays and other documents through the Sharing hub, may submit confidential documents. We handle all documents securely and do not disclose or use them for purposes beyond providing the service.

7. Data Retention

User data is retained for as long as the account remains active. Payment records are stored for the legally required period (typically 5-10 years). Listing, request, and message history is retained while your account is active so participants can access it. Users can request data deletion, except where retention is required for legal reasons. 8. User Rights

Users have the right to access, update, export, or request the deletion of their personal data. Requests can be submitted by email to hello@horses.sale and will be handled within the timeframes required by applicable law (including the GDPR).

9. Data Security

We implement security measures to protect user data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.

10. Third-Party Services

We use third-party providers to operate our services: Stripe and PayPal (payment processing), Google Analytics (website analytics), Google Firebase (push notification delivery), Auth0 (authentication), and Mux (video hosting and playback). These providers process data on our behalf and have their own privacy policies.

11. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@horses.sale and we will delete it.

12. Policy Updates

We may update this policy periodically. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or website announcements.
